Martin founded Link-Connect in 1996 to capitalise on the growing and exciting opportunities provided by the new internet technologies. Link-Connect gained a rapid reputation for the creation and hosting of corporate websites during the very early phase of this industry providing service to Lloyds Bank and others.
After rapid expansion the company developed into a broad-based internet service provider, managing connectivity for nearly 4000 customers across all sectors.
Martin has always been involved in innovative computer and software industries. A mathematician, accomplished musician and entrepreneur who formed his first company aged 21. Martin ran a successful music distribution business and accountancy software business across the UK prior to founding Link-Connect.

Graham McLean Managing Director
Graham has 25 years of sales, sales management and general management in the IT and Telecommunications industry with a focus on supplying and managing mission critical business systems. This included various software vendors such as Pansophic Systems, Sterling Commerce, SSA and a series of smaller start-up and turn-around companies. Immediately prior to joining Link-Connect, Graham was Managing Director of CI-Net where he transformed the business from a small business-to-business ISP into a significant Managed Service supplier of Wide Area Networks and Cloud Computing. When CI-Net was acquired by MDNX, Graham took the opportunity to join Link-Connect as Managing Director.

Matt Balderstone Technical Director
Matt has over 17 years of experience in the IT service industry, initially with solutions providers that focused on the applications, then later with more network focused providers as industry trends started to push applications into the cloud. Matt has specialised in a number of key disciplines which include; Network Security, design and implementation of Wide Area Networks, Hosting, and the full spectrum of Cloud Computing solutions. His focus is the delivery and management of critical business systems and the overlay of technical expertise with first class customer service. Matt brings invaluable technical authority to his role and a vital understanding of how reliable solutions underpin daily operations for Link-Connect customers.
Outside of work Matt is a keen Mountain Biker, enjoying with equal measure the freedom of cross country and the contrasting thrills and spills of manmade trail centres, the latter more so when the weather takes a turn for the worse as is so often the case in the UK. In addition Matt also enjoys Golf when time and weather permits, chasing the ever elusive low handicap from his youth which has now moved from distant memory into realm of legend/folklore.
Glyn Miles Sales Director
Glyn has 10 years of experience in the IT and Telecommunications industry and over 20 years of experience in customer service and sales. He has a broad knowledge of IT systems and services, including network architecture, server and storage infrastructure (both physical and virtual), application deployment, remote access, network security and Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery measures. Aligned to Glyn’s product and service knowledge, he has a thorough understanding of how a reliable network design and service underpins the performance of any business.
Outside of work Glyn is an avid movie buff and keen snooker player. He also enjoys travelling and as a member of The National Trust visiting historic locations with his family.
