Smart ConnectTM

Can your business function without a broadband connection?

In less than 10 years internet connectivity has grown from an academic resource to a global business tool. Many organisations have embraced this change in technology without realising the extent to which they rely on broadband connectivity - is your company one of these?

Broadband connections cannot be guaranteed and are not subject to a standard SLA (service level agreement). Smart-ConnectTM is a unique and cost effective solution that provides resilience to your connection to the internet, increases bandwidth and offers 24 / 7 line monitoring with an SLA!

How does Smart-Connect do this?

Smart Connect effectively doubles, triples, even quadruples your broadband in a smart way. It uses ADSL Max with up to 8mbps download and 832 kbps upload, which across 4 lines reduces contention for each broadband connection to a minimum, combining them in a unique way to protect your connectivity from failure in the network with a floating single IP address. Unlike other methods of providing standby lines for emergencies Smart Connect utilises every line at the same time giving you faster speeds at times of heavy usage, known as increased bandwidth. Online applications will be quicker, file download times will be greatly reduced and more services made available to you.

Who is Smart Connect for?

Many companies use the internet daily for business critical applications. The impact of no broadband, or reduced level of service to broadband can have potentially crippling effects on modern day business, loosing thousands (maybe millions) of pounds in lost revenue as a result.

Broadband does not come with any SLA either. There is no guarantee when the fault will be fixed! Smart Connect is able to provide you with a genuine SLA to back up our service giving your business a real leased line alternative.

Smart Connect versus the alternatives.

Some larger companies use leased lines to provide their internet connections. This is a perfectly viable solution, however they significantly more expensive than the Smart Connect solution and are still subject to failure. To keep costs down, the capacity available is also limited in many cases. Smart Connect is an intelligent and flexible way of providing a better service.

It is possible to connect several broadband connections yourself using a firewall, but these will lack end to end management and, crucially, may not support virtual private networking (VPN) and will require much setting up for each line to function correctly. Smart Connect provides you with a single public IP address range (more available if required), regardless of the broadband in service - allowing your network to function without interruption. If you are using broadband to connect between your offices this last factor is essential.
